The Principality of Trumar, more commonly known as Trumar, is a micronation in Europe, more specifically an Enclave surrounded by Portuguese territory. Trumar arose from the discontent that several individuals felt after the Portuguese legislative elections of 2019, therefore, on October 8, 2019, the Declaration of Independence of the Principality of Trumar was signed, giving birth to this beautiful micronation.

The principality's form of government is that of the constitutional monarchy in which the monarch exercises certain executive, legislative and judicial powers. The principality as an area of roughly 100 m² and a population of 5 citizens.

The current and so far only monarch is Prince Igor I, who has ruled the country since it was founded. Since the Principality is surrounded by Portugal, the first official language is Portuguese. The second official lenguage is English, in hopes that Trumar becomes an international nation.

History

Being a fairly new nation, Trumar has no memorable historical events except the Independence Declaration Day, celebrated on October 8.

Politics and government

The principal law of the principality is the 2019 Constitutional Charter.(currently being written) to which ALL citizens must obey, including the Government, the Parliament, the Judges and the Royal House.

The Constitutional Charter recognizes the Separation of Political Powers into four branches: Legislative, Moderator, Executive and Judicial.

Due to it being a recently created country, and having such a small population, no elections have been held in the Principality of Trumar till date.

Legislative Branch

The Legislative Branch is represented by the Parliament which is divided into two Chambers. The House of Elected and the House of Nobles.

House of Elected

House of Elected Seats, as of 2019 elections.

The House of Elected is the Lower House, and it's a representation of all citizens of the principality. Elections to fill this chamber's 24 seats are held annually and both political parties and independent individuals can run for office.
