His Majesty King Ptolemy II (born Ciaran Francis MacDonagh) ruled as King of Wilcsland from 31 December 2014 to the dissolution of the kingdom. He succeeded his elder brother Ptolemy I Helios after the latter's prolonged absence from his kingdom, and had previously ruled alongside him for two days in February 2011 as Ptolemy II Alexander II. He was otherwise known as Prince Ciaran throughout his brother's reign, and also reigned as the vassal King of Thebes between March and May 2010 as Ciaran II & III.
Early life
Ciaran was born on 23 November 1998, the younger brother of Declan I, II & V.
Thebes
The title King of Thebes had been held by Declan I of Moylurg since November 2003, and the office was not in use to any practical political effect, Thebes being a subkingdom of the Taklamacan which existed for purposes of national identity rather than actual autonomy. However, King Declan decided that his heir - the then Crown Prince Ciaran - needed to learn how to rule Moylurg. The King decided to make his younger sibling and heir a vassal king of the subkingdom. He crowned his brother His Majesty King Ciaran II & III the King of Thebes with the remains of the old crown of South Bank on 5 March 2010.
On 7 March 2010, two days into Ciaran's reign, the Taklamacan - along with Corran - was unified with Moylurg into the Empire of Moylurg. Thebes thus became a subkingdom of Moylurg rather than the Taklamacan. Ciaran was deposed by Declan on 1 May 2010 along with Laura I of Moylurg, after Declan accused him of being an inactive ruler.
Wilcsland and Orly
On 15 February 2011, Ciaran was appointed co-ruler of the Kingdom of Wilcsland and the Tsardom of Orly, assuming the new regnal name of Ptolemy II Alexander II (Ptolemy I Alexander in Orly) and ruling alongside Declan I, II & V. He replaced Frances I & V of Wilcsland and Orly, but only ruled for a day before he himself was replaced as co-ruler by Queen-Tsarina Berenice I. Ciaran here served simply as one in a series of briefly enthroned co-rulers to enable Declan I to claim higher monarchical ordinals for his kingdom.
Prince of Copan
Upon the declaration of the United Kingdom of New Wessex on 14 January 2012, Ciaran was appointed Prince of Copan as the native monarchies of Orly were suppressed, with the title to be used in the same way that Prince of Wales is used in Britain. Said title became redundant upon the Liberation of Orly on 24 June 2013.
King of Wilcsland
On 31 December 2014, Ciaran declared himself the new King of Wilcsland as King Ptolemy II, replacing his brother, who had moved away from his lands to London resulting in the near-collapse of the kingdom. He arranged for Wilcsland to become a protected state of the Empire of Austenasia, but had otherwise inherited an impossible situation. The new king was unable to overcome the challenges faced by his kingdom, and what little remained of Wilcsland soon fell apart. The only major action taken by Ptolemy II was to appoint the now Brooklyn Hewitt his co-monarch as King John II on 30 April 2015. After nearly five years of titular reign by the two, Wilcsland was officially dissolved by John II on 31 December 2019, resulting in the end of the monarchy.
