Public holidays

There are approximately twelve nationally recognized Public holidays celebrated in Yusienia. These holidays are derived from both local Greek Christian holidays, international holidays and the festivals created by Aurora Twinkle. This number does not correspond to the number of days off work as public holidays falling on weekends are not transferred.

Sunday after the first full moon following the spring equinox Easter Sunday Commemorates the crucifixion and death of Jesus.

1 May Labour Day
Last Sunday of May Thargelia Originated from Pangy Day
24 June Fairy Day Young people dress up as fairies and wear pastel face painting on this day. Due to cost and other reasons, this festival has not been truly celebrated.
9 August Independence Day (Anexartesia)
First Sunday of August Aphrodisia The biggest festival of the year in Yusienia, dedicated to Aphrodite. A festival of love and beauty. Celebrations usually last at least two weeks.
25 December Christmas Day Celebrates the birth of Jesus.
28 December National Foundation Festival Celebrates the formation of Stadt Schleswig 2.0.
