The Radio and Television from Guanabara (Rádio e Televisão da Guanabara Portuguese), commonly abbreviated as RTG, is the predominant stated-own television broadcaster in the Guanabara. RTG has a network of 2 channels (RTG 1 and RTG 2) broadcasting different programmes and is accessible to more than ten million viewers. Most of its programmes are a mixture of sports, news, documentary, social education, comedy, entertainment, and drama.

It has the largest audience of Guanabara being ahead of the Grupo Nova.

History

The inauguration took place on February 1, 2019, at 20:00 (local time) on RTG 1 (TV Channel) and 1FM (Radio). The first broadcast was a live event. A friendly football match between the Guanabara National Football Team and the RUPA National Football Team. The match marked the first victory of the "Seleção Carioca" (1 - 0 ) in their second game as a professional and in the first game held inside the Guanabara, at the Arena Cachambi, in Rio de Janeiro.
