The Imperator of Technocratic Renasia, officially the Imperator in Chief, was the executive, legislative and judicial leader and chief administrative officer of Technocratic Renasia. Akin to a Monarch or Dictator, the Imperator was the most senior member of the Renasian Council, with the office taking precedence over all other political appointments and positions in the nation. The Imperator exercised a wide range of powers within the nation, taking control of all matters legal and executive with the help of the Council who may be delegated certain powers, in order to allow tasks to be delegated where otherwise they would require the personal involvement of the Imperator. The Imperator was the chairman of the Renasian Council, serving as a de facto speaker for that chamber, in any circumstances where a public spokesperson be needed to voice the concerns or praises of the Council.

The Imperator was a role in Technocratic Renasian Governance. The Imperator was an elected autocrat, elected on a one year term by the citizens of Technocratic Renasia. This position was dissolved with the creation of the Free State of Renasia and its Guntanu'tl model.

Conventions in the relations between Imperator and Renasian Council

There were two main conventions in the interactions that occur between the Imperator and the Renasian council at any one time. They were key in keeping the balance and in insuring that the government would not fall into tyrannical despotism headed by the Imperator. The first, called the Majority Convention, outlines a situation in which the council came to a unanimous verdict on an issue in opposition of the Imperator. The Imperator is then bound by convention, though not law, to follow this lead and to enact it. The second was the 'Minority Convention, in which, if the Imperator sides with a minority vote in the Council, he is obliged to make this full and clear to the populous when he signs the new legislation into law.
