Berin is the name of several micronations created in the Valtir Sector in 2011 and 2012. These were:
- The Berinese Confederation (later known as the State of Berin), founded in June 2011;
- The First Berinese Republic, which succeeded the State of Berin in August 2011;
- The Second Berinese Republic of the Nemkhav Berin, which succeded the First Berinese Republic in September 2011;
- The Berinese Empire, which existed briefly in April 2012.
The exact etymology of the name is now unknown. It most likely derived from the name of Danish-Russian explorer Vitus Bering or the eponymous Bering Sea and Bering Strait.
