The Republic of Codak was a self-declared sovereign state and a secessionist republic founded by Max A. in April 2019 that seceded from the Democratic Children's Republic of Wakanda. For the nation's entire existence, it existed solely as a secession from the DCROW, never forming proper government and constantly being engaged in war with the DCROW. The nation unofficially dissolved 21 June 2022 although legally the nation still exists, according to some Excelsioran historians. The nation left a large impact on the history of the DCROW and today remains relevant in Excelsior, the unofficial successor state to the DCROW, specifically in the Grandsian Constituent Republic. New Codak, the third-largest Excelsioran city, is named after the Republic of Codak. The nation is still celebrated as one that stood up to the DCROW, as Excelsioran opinion on the DCROW is heavily unfavorable.
Codak never formed proper government but was unofficially led solely by Max H., a friend of President of the DCROW Nicolas Caiazzo. Codak had a large military and would regularly engage in impromptu battle with the DCROW in the schoolyard of the school both Caiazzo and Max attended. Codak was highly unprofessional and much like the DCROW, Caiazzo has referred to it as an embarrassment. The nation was highly school-based as well.
