The Republic of Ellesmere is a self-declared independent state (micronation) created on the 17th of December 2018 (thus the day is a national holiday) located in the United Kingdom. It consists of an enclave fully surrounded by the UK with its capital city of Ellesmere Hamlet being the centre of the Republic as well as an islet found off the north coast of Anglesey called East Mouse. The official language of the Republic is English with a 100 per cent speaking record. In the Republic there are two provinces: East Mouse island & Ellesmere Hamlet. The motto is 'semper in parte dis' meaning 'always on gods side' in latin. The national flag was adopted during the independence of the republic. It displays a big white stripe, a great black star in the middle and a blue background. The white stripe represents the freedom of the republic as well as its newness and finally, the blue background is the nation's colours.
