Rex v. Greenson was a supreme court trial. On 22 April 2020, four members of Parliament and one peer of the Realm interrupted a meeting of Parliament and declared a revolution against the Crown of Baustralia. These members were removed from Parliament, and stripped of all military ranks, orders, and decorations. They were charged and tried with treason and conspiring to commit mutiny.
Background
On 22 April 2020, after discussing what laws had to be modified in order to bind the King of Baustralia by law in accordance with the Monarchy (Immunity) Act. After seeing that the Act stated that laws had to be modified to explicitly state they bound the King, the Underground Alliance, the party of four and the defendants, tried to try him for criminal mischief. After they were made aware that treason was not yet a charge that bound the King, they uprose and declared a rebellion along with the Viscount Parker.
Trial
The five accused, which made up the Underground Alliance, consisted of Commander Reagan Greenson, Petty officer Ella Parker, Flight lieutenant Lord Parker, Rear admiral Nick Sullivan, Air Marshal Mecca Thompson. These members were represented by Ella Parker.
When asked for their plea, Parker stated guilty without contest. Shocked by the answer, Lord Jenkinson decided to hear the case anyway to determine if the charges had a basis.
After a very short trial, Lord Jenkinson decided that Thompson as head of the rebellion, Parker, and Sullivan would all be charged with high treason and styled 'The Horrible', while the other two would be charged with treason. The five were also charged with conspiring to commit mutiny. Lord Parker and Nick Sullivan were pardoned from these crimes for unknown reasons.
