The Royal Family Order of Purvanchal, or more formally the Most Noble Royal Family Order of Purvanchal is the second highest chivalric and dynastic order of the province of Purvanchal which is conferred by the Rajpramukh of Purvanchal, as the head of the House of Sriraya which is the current ruling house of the province as well as the national ruling house. It was constituted on 7 September 2020, along with the Order of the Crown of Purvanchal (formerly the Order of the Territorial Crown) in order to replace the Order of the Crown of Varuna. It is bestowed only upon monarchs and members of the royal families of the state and foreign for their exceptional and meritorious services towards the province and the people. It is often granted as a token of friendship and affection to foreign monarchs upon the act of establishment of bilateral relations with Vishwamitra.

History

The first chivalric order of Purvanchal was the Order of the Crown of Varuna which was created on 18 June 2020 and only conferred once. On 7 September 2020, Rajpramukh Varuna Sriraya abolished the Order of the Crown of Varuna and created the Royal Family Order of Purvanchal as the highest dynastic and chivalric order of Purvanchal along with the Order of the Crown of Purvanchal. The Royal Family Order of Purvanchal remained as the highest order of the state until 4 July 2021 when the Order of the Royal House of Sriraya was constituted.
