Royal Standard of Athor

The Royal Standard of Athor is the official standard of the Emir of Athor. It was designed by Colin I and consists of a white background with the Shahada featured centrally on the flag in gold. It is raised above all royal residences and government properties when the monarch is present there. As well as this, it may be displayed as a small flag on royal vehicles.

Protocol

The flag must only be raised when the monarch is on the property in which it is being raised. The flag may not be hoisted to half-mast, even during a period of national mourning including after the death of a monarch, because there is always a reigning monarch. It must not be flown upside down, except if the monarchy were to fall.

Use in Athor

The flag is flown when at the monarch's residencies when the monarch is present. If the owner of a private residency or building requests, the standard can be hoisted if the monarch is present.
