Rubén Daniel Hernández, Marquis of Ankor MAV RS (Sabian: rubénn dan naiavái ernandeħinét) is a retired Sabioveronese general and politician. He was Secretary of the Royal Air Force from 2014 to 2015, when the Air Force was merged with the Army and the Navy to form the Royal Aeronaval Service..

Hernández briefly served as Prime Minister of Sabia and Verona as head of a caretaker government formed following Napoléon Bleuberrie's failed self-coup attempt. Although Hernández was not a parlamentarian at the time, he co-headed the Commission for the Preservation of Democracy, the provisional body overseeing ensuring the political stability of the region. Following his tenure as caretaker head of government, Hernández became Minister for Defence in Ann Stefanović's cabinet, and most recently served as interim governor of Verona.

Early life

He emigrated to Sabia and Verona in late 2012 and settled in Salisse where he began working at the Rómulo Betancourt base of the Air Force. Having previous knowledge of engineering and industrial design, he worked with Starlynn & Co. to produce Sabia and Verona's first aircraft. He was granted the rank of Lieutenant General in February 2013 and the rank of General in June 2013 by PM Napoléon Bleuberrie.

Career

In June 2013 he was chosen to act as the Vice-Chairperson of the Commission for the Preservation of Democracy (DMDK) under Berth Jens. Being a member of the military, his position was important as he represented the armed sector of the nation in the Commission. In July 2013 PM Napoléon Bleuberrie organized and attempted a self-coup, which after 3 hours ended in failure. Under Hernández's commands Salisse was secured from the rebels of the Land Army and Bleuberrie was arrested in Alcabala. The DMDK took over the region and Hernández assumed acting premiership at Jens's order. In October 2013 Ann Stefanović became Prime Ministerand Hernández's temporary emergency premiership ended.

Stefanović chose Hernández to be in her Cabinet as Minister for Defense, given his high position in the Air Force. Hernández succeeded Boris Tovinski, a Land Army general who had supported Bleuberrie in his failed self-coup attempt and had been arrested as well. During his tenure as Minister for Defence, Juclandia transitioned into the Federal Union of Juclandian Lands and Queen Isadora of Annenak was crowned. Hernández led the Sabioveronese military through the transition and administrated the changes that the SVRAF underwent during this process. In 2014, he was granted the peerage of Marquis of Anko by Queen Isadora.

In February 2014 General Amaro Perdeut announced his intation to retire from his office of Secretary of the Air Force. Hernández was nominated to the job by incumbent Vice Secretary Raphaël Rivière and on 23 February 2014 he was elected as the third Secretary of the Air Force of Sabia and Verona, a post he held until the Air Force's dissolution into the Royal Aeronaval Service next year. His last political post was that of interim governor of Verona, later in 2015 as well.

Personal life

Hernández is married to politician and former DMDK spokesperson Marie Hernández (née Lovett). They married in July 2013. Although originallhy a Roman Catholic, he converted to the Valtirian Lutheran congregation in 2014 at Ann Stefanović's behest. His family is originally from Sucre in Eastern Venezuela. His second last name, Jinete, is of French origin, but also means "rider" in Spanish.
