Etymology

The name, 'Salvadora' comes from the word savior in Spanish. In Christianity, "savior" means, God or Jesus Christ as the redeemer of sin and saver of souls. Salvadora also is sometimes accidentally associated with the Central American country of El Salvador.

History

Salvadora was formed in the beginning months as apart of Citadelle, now Paloma City. After the collapse, the land was split between the disputed nation, the Sauveuse Republic and the former Sacree Republic (now Paloma). On 20 December 2019, the Paloman Military would officially take control of the land and reclaim the region. The President of Paloma Aidan McGrath, requested that the name be changed from Sauveuse (which meant savior in French) to Salvadora, which is the feminine way of pronouncing savior in Spanish.

Special administrative region

On 10 March 2020, the Sauveuse government agreed with a vote to dissolve and return its land back to its former respected nations, Salvadora being the biggest land claim. On 10 March 2020, former President of the Sauveuse Republic Leon Montan and Paloman President Aidan McGrath both signed and ratified into law the Paloman-Sauveuse Joint Declaration and agreed to make the disputed claim a Hong Kong modeled Special administrative region of Paloma.

On 21 March 2020, a handover ceremony was held and the Sauveuse Republic ceased to exist and became know offically as Salvadora.

Municipality

On 19 September 2020, a bill was passed to dissolve the Salvadora Special Administrative Region and reform it as a munincipality of Pajaro. The bill came into effect later that day.
