The Sixth Tanishkaa Patranabish ministry (Hindi: छठी तनिष्का पत्रनाबिश मंत्रीमंडल) was formed on 22 March 2020 following the election victory of Tanishkaa Patranabish defeating Sarala Baishya in the general elections held on 19 March. The elections were held in which the elected members of parliament voted to elect a new leader, in which Tanishkaa Patranabish secured 17 out of the 32 elected members and Sarala Baishya secured 15. Soon after the results were declared, President Dhrubajyoti Roy invited her to form the government.
Soon after, Tanishkaa Patranabish was sworn-in as the Prime Minister and Anoushkaa Patranabish as the First Deputy Prime Minister.

Background
The sixth government of Tanishkaa Patranabish was formed on 22 March 2020 after the end of the general election which resulted in an ultimate victory of the National People's Congress. The primaries held to elect the leader of the legislative party resulted in former Prime Minister Tanishkaa Patranabish defeating her rival and Vice President Sarala Baishya by a vote margin of 17-15. Soon after the election of the new leader, Tanishkaa Patranabish was invited by President Dhrubajyoti Roy to take oath as the nation's prime minister of a sixth term.
Composition
The council of ministers which was formed on 22 March 2020 comprised of Prime Minister Tanishkaa Patranabish as the head of the council of ministers. The council also composed of two deputy prime ministers, viz. outgoing caretaker prime minister Anoushkaa Patranabish and outgoing deputy prime minister Bishnu Chetry; seven ministers of cabinet rank namely Arnab Sil, Arnab Deka, Anirban Phatowali, Ankurjyoti Thakuria, Nishwan Baidantic, Bishakha Das, and Sampriti Paul.
Two ministers were appointed as Ministers of State with independent charge namely Arpan Deka and Tusharjit Deka; while four others were appointed as Ministers of State namely Jemina Hazarika, Pallavi Rai, Chandan Das, Harlong Terang, and Abhirup Patranabis.
On 29 March 2020, Arnab Sil was appointed as Third Deputy Prime Minister.
