The kroon (sign: kr; code: STK) is the proposed currency for Slitronia. The kroon is subdivided into 100 cents (senti; singular sent). The word kroon (Estonian pronunciation: [ˈkroːn], “crown”) is related to that of the name of the previously used currency in Estonia, that being Estonian kroon, which by itself is related to that of the Nordic currencies (such as the Swedish krona and the Danish and Norwegian krone) and derived from the Latin word corona ("crown").
The idea of the design of the kroon posted to Discord by Johannes I
The earliest design idea of the Slitronian kroon was an image posted to the MicroWiki discord by Johannes I. The image displayed the drawings of the front and the backside of the 1 kroon coin. The front side displayed the value 1 between the letters k and r (which made put together make kr; the sign of the kroon), and on the rim the name of the country and the year was written (Great Kingdom of Slitronia; 2022). The backside displayed the lion that is also present on the Slitronian state flag, and on the name the name of the currently reigning monarch was written (Johannes I).
The coin was said to be made out of Aluminum. Johannes I later stated, that the aluminum would come from melting cans and bottle caps on top of a campfire.
