New Europe is a federation that consists of four states. These states are of equal federal rights in the sense that they have equal representation—two delegates each—in the  (upper house of the Imperial Assembly of New Europe). However, they do differ in the degree of autonomy they enjoy. Colonies are considered to be administrative divisions of the Imperial Government (with the Pinellas and Hillsborough counties being the only exception).

Types of states of New Europe

States of New Europe

Each state of the empire belongs to one of the following categories:

Type
Republics Nominally autonomous, each has its own constitution, president and legislature; it is represented by the imperial government in international affairs; each republic's specific government can vary to each one.
Monarchies Same as republics, having their own constitution and legislature, but instead of a elected official there is a monarch as head of the state. And like republics, each type of monarchy can depend upon the state in which it is used.
Free State Completely autonomous and are only claimed by the imperial government.

List of New European colonies

Most colonies New Europe claimed at first did not contain the entire regions they claimed. New Europe claimed a colonial presence in a region so that those who view a map can get a general idea of where the actual claimed area was located. Most claimed areas preferredthat their actual locations be kept private so that they were not exposed to direct attack. However New Europe has reestablished its colonial empire by claiming territory in Antarctica. The government contacted the AMU and petitioned them to recognize the New European claim and was approved around August 2011.
