The History of the Kingdom of Simharashtra is fairly recent. The Kingdom's formation was initiated by His Royal Highness the Prince, Vikramaditya I, Prince of Grandelysia, Duke of Knightsburgh, Earl of Grandeonia, Baron Castlewick, KC, KS, PC. He planned to create a prosperous, moral, and rich nation. There isn't much to say about Simharashtra's history as its only beginning its nationhood.

By the 2020s, the country had become one of the world's most prosperous nations, with a highly developed free market economy and strong international trading links.

2020-2021: Great Thinking Era

The first thought of creating a nation came to His Royal Highness Vikramaditya I, Prince of Grandelysia, Duke of Knightsburgh, Earl of Grandeonia, Baron Castlewick, KC, KS, PC, SRC on March 23, 2020. Evidence suggest that this thought was evoked by the Hindu God Lord Vishnu. Prince Vikramaditya thought that he was destined to be King by divine right and god's will and his horoscope was Pisces and the stars aligned with him being a King. He thought about ways and means of which could be used to govern his country. He thought about how legislatures, judiciaries, executives, should work, who has ultimate power over it, what kinds of laws and regulations should be placed. Whether to adopt socialist policies. The prince recognized the rights of women in the world and recognized the Universal Declaration of Human Rights by the United Nations. The prince describes himself as a "Classical Modernist". He thought about universal rights of his subjects. He also thought about how to govern when he became King. He also supported some socialist policies as well such as increasing the tax rate for only Multi Billionaires and Millionaires, but not restricting free trade, worker-owned cooperatives, universal healthcare. He describes his Ideology Conservative Socialist Monarchy based on capitalist economic principles but modified. Huey Long, Former Governor of Louisiana said, '' Every Man a King'' so the Prince thought everyone in his country should be economically prosperous. He also thought to preserve the Hindu religion through rigorous education of school children on Hindu scripture and philosophy and Sanskrit.

2021-2022: Formation of the Provisional Government and Aims for Permanent Government

A State Regency Council formed in late 2022 by order of the Prince Regent to exercise the powers of government provisionally. The provisional government was convened by the Crown Prince who was Regent at the time, the PG began basic governing and had the civil services at its disposal. The provisional government aimed to create a permanent government in the near future with a proper cabinet, a legislature, executive, and judiciary. It planned to draft a new permanent constitution to replace the interim constitution. The SRC formed a drafting committee under its supervision to draft a new constitution with principles from different countries which already had a constitution in force. The Prince is the ultimate authority in the SRC as its Lord President. His will and orders are carried out by other members of the council. He signs decrees in the SRC and ratifies them. The Provisional Government functions through the State Regency Council.

2022-Present: Full internal self-government

The SRC began governing in December of 2022 after Independence on Christmas Day of the same year. The Provisional government embarked on a vigorous program to address Simharashtra's various economic and social goals and problems. Economic development was overseen by the new Acting Minister of Finance & Economy, whose strategy was to encourage foreign and local investment with measures ranging from tax incentives to the establishment of a large industrial estates. The education system was revamped to train a skilled workforce and the Tamil language was promoted over the English language as the language of instruction. To eliminate labor unrest, existing labor unions were consolidated, sometimes forcibly, into a single umbrella organization, called the National Trade Commission (NTC) under the supervision of Ministry of Commerce & Industry with strong oversight from the government. On the social front, an aggressive and well-funded public housing program was launched to solve the long-standing housing problem. Universal Healthcare was introduced to the Citizenry.
