The Tree Cult is a dendrolatic proto-religion that was founded in the Kingdom of the Taklamacan. It is known to have been in existence during the first reign of Pope Marcus I (2005 - 2009), but its exact date of founding is unknown. Its followers revere a deity which was believed to reside in a tree in the Taklamacan. Little else is known of this cult.
