Union Des Plaines is a union-owned company headquartered in Paradise City, Essef in the Federal Union of Wegmat. It is incredibly important for transporting freight.
History
Union Des Plaines started out as a land-based freight company that transported cargo across Wegmat. During Manifest Wegstany and the expansion of Wegmat the company made a new line going to Manny Falls, Schiller Territory. Union Des Plaines was responsible for bringing a lot of material and tools to the north. Two new lines to Flying and Lost Lake city. The Manny Falls lines were discontinued due to opposition and worries of UDP becoming a monopoly. The provinces of South Potawatomi and Irving banned land operations of UDP in their provinces. UDP filed a lawsuit again the provincial government however the suit failed lift the ban. UDP than asked the Federal Government to lift a provincial ban. The 3rd District Federal Court ruled that a province cannot ban operations in Federal Waterways or Federal Roads. UDP discontinued its passenger service off of the Des Plaines River and only the Des Plaines Line remains.
