The UUM Flag

The Union for Ulster Micronations, often abbreviated to the UUM, is a union consisting of micronations in Ulster (mostly West Belfast) that work together to keep peace. It was founded in 2021 by the Poleglass Democratic Republic and the Democratic Socialist Republic of Beechmount. The UUM has multiple divisions expanding across Ulster to keep peace through diplomatic terms. The most active division is the 'old West Belfast' division that consists of a long list of micronations that work together through importing and exporting trade and working together through using military power to scare off super states who threaten the stability of Ulster and minor divisions within the UUM.

History

Map of the Buffer Zone. Blue=UUM, Black=Whiterock and Orange=Beechmount

The first ever temporary buffer zone peace plan proposed by the UUM was the 'Beechmount-Whiterock UUM Buffer Zone'. The land was a large border between the 2 nations in order to keep peace. The area was disputed, however. The Whiterock Empire recognised the territory as their own. Despite this, the land was governed jointly by the CSOC and Poleglass. The region became defunct after Beechmount grew relations with the Whiterock. It was returned to the Whiterock later. The Whiterock Empire later dissolved and was succeeded by four new republics which have since been through immense history. The territory is now in the ownership of the Kingdom of Norglandia.

The UUM has since been involved with peace processes and liberation operations across Ulster since its first missions. The UUM tackled the growing threat of the soviet super power the 'Communist League of Ireland (CLI) which dominated a large amount of West Belfast and was a threat to democracy, the UUM intervened and liberated the countries occupied under the CLI and gained various victories.
