The Vice-Premier, officially the Vice-Premier of the East Galwegian Socialist Republic, was the deputy head of government in East Galway. The Vice-Premier was appointed by the President on the advice of the Premier of East Galway.

History of the position

The position was created in September 2021 along with the Premier (then known as Chairman) as the Vice-Chairman of the East Galway Soviet. The position became the Chairman of the People’s Executive on 7 January 2021. It became known as the Vice-Premier of the People’s Executive on 10 January 2022 when Jan Kotoński renamed the Chairman and Vice Chairman positions.

On 8 April 2022, Thomas Jacobs reformed the commune into the East Galwegian Socialist Republic, and changed many positions, including the Vice-Premier, which was renamed the Vice-Premier of the East Galwegian Socialist Republic.

Responsibilities

The Vice-Premier was the designated acting premier if the case the Premier was unable to exercise his duties. The The Vice Premier could act as a spokesman for the Cabinet of Ministers in absence of the Premier.
