The Vice President of Osteau is the deputy head of state in the Republic of Osteau.
History
The office of vice president was established on 19 August 2022. It was created to act as a deputy to the President of Osteau as well as a senate chair, to prevent the Prime Minister from becoming too powerful.
Role
The role of vice president includes:
- Chairing the Senate
- Breaking Voting Ties in the Senate
- Aiding the President
- Advising the President
- Attending Cabinet Meetings
- Keeping the President and Prime Minister Informed about the Senate
Election
The vice president is typically the running mate of the President of Osteau during elections, however if a president-elect doesn't have one they may appoint one upon becoming president.
