The Wegmat Ministry of Utility is a ministry defacto responsible for connecting Wegmat with power and water. It's powers are limited to paying utility bills to the United State. This includes electicity, water and gas in cities in Gliffork, Cenwister and New Finland.
Responsibility
X FCW 2.1 outlines the role of the Ministry.
- (1) There shall be an Office of the Director of Utility, also known as the Minister of Utility, which shall be responsible for the administration and regulation of utilities in Wegmat.
- (2) The Director of Utility shall be appointed by the Prime Minister and confirmed by the Parliament.
- (3) The Director of Utility shall serve as the chief advisor to the Prime Minister on matters relating to utilities.
- (4) The Director of Utility shall have the power to make and enforce regulations governing the provision of utilities in Wegmat.
- (5) The Director of Utility shall have the power to oversee and regulate the operations of public utility companies in Wegmat.
- (6) The Director of Utility shall have the power to issue licenses and permits for the construction and operation of utility infrastructure in Wegmat.
- (7) The Director of Utility shall have the power to set rates and charges for the provision of utilities in Wegmat, subject to the approval of the Parliament.
- (8) The Director of Utility shall have the power to investigate complaints and violations of utility regulations and to take appropriate enforcement actions.
- (9) The Director of Utility shall have the responsibility to ensure that the provision of utilities in Wegmat is safe, reliable, and affordable for all citizens.
- (10) The Director of Utility shall have the power to enter into agreements and contracts with other governments or organizations for the provision of utilities in Wegmat.
