Lord Captain William Hewitt, Baron of Fraternitas, MAO is an Austenasian politician and Imperial Navy officer from the Town of Augusta. Hewitt currently serves as Police Inspector of the Augusta Police Force and as Commander of 1st Iosephus Flotilla, and was appointed a Member of the Austenasian Order on Imperium Day 2019.

Hewitt was unanimously elected Mayor of New Richmond in the April 2018 New Richmond local election. Hewitt's term was most notable for the enactment of Bye-Law 2018-1, which legalised cannabis and certain psychedelics in the City, although Hewitt himself was opposed to the legislation. He later resigned as Mayor on 24 April 2019 for personal and work-related reasons. Following his resignation, he assumed the office of New Richmond's Police Inspector from his successor and nephew Alex Francis. With the establishment of the Town of Augusta on 12 June 2019, Hewitt assumed the position of Police Inspector of the new Town.

Hewitt resides in Augusta Town Hall with his wife, The Honourable K. Hewitt (the daughter of Lady Brenda, Baroness of New Richmond) and his youngest son, K. Riley Hewitt. He is the father of Brooklyn Hewitt, the incumbent Prime Minister of the New Richmond Republic.
