Origins

Republic of Tarvit

The former Tarvit Republic became a dominion of the Kingdom of Tarvit when the Republic and the Kingdom of Neuk merged to form the Kingdom of Tarvit. It was agreed between the former leader of the Republic of Tarvit Kate Wellwisher and Rex. Keenan Carr I that the former republic, in merging with Neuk would become a dominion of the new kingdom with special privileges such as the option of their own central council.
The former government of the Republic was granted freedom of the Kingdom of Tarvit and President Kate Wellwisher was awarded the Order of Tarvit by the Rex "...in recognition of her efforts towards the greatest good for the greater Tarvitian people."

Location and Origins

The Republic of Tarvit is situated exactly one kilometre to the south-west of the Kingdom of Tarvit within the town of Cupar on the area known as Tarvit Pond that has been threatened by the growth of the town in the form of plans by the Fife Council to build housing on the site. This has been met with protest from Cupar residents and as such the micronation of the Tarvit Republic was formed to bring awareness and unite the residents in protest against the proposed development.

Merge with the Kingdom of Tarvit

The Republic of Tarvit is unique in being the only Yeoman Territory to have previously been an established micronation. When Keenan Carr I was informed of the Tarvitian Presidents desire to dissolve the nation it was his intention to merge the Kingdom of Neuk and the Tarvit republic. The merger formed the Kingdom of Tarvit and the Dominion of the Republic of Tarvit.

Puerto del Caballería

The Tarvitian Dominion of Puerto del Caballería (Eng:Port of Yeomanry) is an overseas territory of the Kingdom of Tarvit and is visited once a year by the Rex as a warm weather retreat. Puerto del Caballería is the Kingdom's first overseas territorial acquisition. The dominion has no permanent population but is maintained by staff of the Spanish San Antonio hotel complex.

Location and Flag

Puerto del Caballería is located within Puerto del Carmen on the volcanic Spanish island of Lanzarote. The flag reflects this by featuring arcing palm trees over the regional coat of arms of Lanzarote with the Canarian colours in the background. The wave pattern of the Canarian colours acknowledge the dominions island nature.

Tarvitian Sucon

The Tarvitian Territory of Tarvitian Sucon is unique in that it is not an official Yeoman Territory. It comes under the governance of the Yeoman Territories but is a Grand Duchy ruled by the Kingdom of Tarvit as opposed to a dominion.
