The Skillzians (skill-SHUNS) are a group of micronationalists who were involved in the short lived Republic of Skillz. Skillzians have significant crossover with Secundomians, and while two Skillz citizens were founding members of the Republic of Secundomia, a large portion of them joined the country later.
History
The Republic of Skillz was a micronation that existed for 2 days in December 2009. The nation was founded by Spencer I, who was elected President. He invited several of his friends from school to join. Each person was given a role in the government. Nate I was appointed Vice President and Phineas Snow was appointed to their fledgling Department of Defense. Other members included future Secundomian Ibrahim I and Ben of Skillz. A sixth member was present, but his name was not kept.
Ben of Skillz, the only prominent Skillzian who never joined Secundomia, lead a group of Skillzians to leave the country only a day after its founding. Only Nate I would remain with Spencer I and the republic functionally ceased to exist. Combined with the threat of war from the Kingdom of Secundomia, Nate and Spencer decided to join their adversary instead, forming the basis of the Republic of Secundomia. Ibrahim and Phineas would later join and become important figures in Secundomian society.
