Elected President

Luís Felipe
United Kanindé

The 2024 Kanindeense Presidential Election was the first election held in Kanindé. The election saw the former emperor become president with 100% of the vote in a special election after a self-coup resulting from the 2024 Kanindeense political crisis.

Background

The Election was hastily planned so that the regime transition (from monarchy to republic) could be completed after the announcement of the dissolution of the Empire and the creation of a Transition Committee led by the Emperor and leader Felipe. The election took place until 10 pm, Brasília time, where the former emperor reached a sufficient percentage of votes.

Post elections

A new constitution is being drafted and will be approved soon. The term of office will be 6 years and there is no limit for re-elections until now. No inauguration party was held and the official portrait is expected to be issued soon.
