Administrative divisions of Bhalam

The administrative divisions of Bhalam are sub-national administrative units of Bhalam; they are composed of a nested hierarchy of administrative divisions. Bhalam is a federation of 7 states (राज्य Rajya).

States and federal territories

The seven states and their respective states and the national capital are combinedly referred to as the "National Territorial Region" which is spread over the city of Pokhara. All of the seven states have an executive monarchy with the monarch being titled as "Rajyapramukh" who is a hereditary ruler chosen from among the dynastic lineage and serves as the head of state and head of government of the respective state.

Federal Capital

The city of Rayalechaur shall be the federal capital and that the Maharajadhiraja shall be responsible for formulating laws and administration of the federal capital. It is a complicated jurisdiction as Rayalechaur is also the capital of the state of Gandaki and is administered by the Rajyapramukh of Gandaki and the Mayor of Rayalechaur who is appointed by the Rajyapramukh.
