Beaufort and Franklin

Beaufort and Franklin is a dependency of the Empire of Vilasia, comprising the islands of Beaufort and Franklin, all located in the Ross Sea, just a few miles away from Coulman Island, another territory claimed by Vilasia. These islands, along with Coulman Island, were transferred from Arlandica as colonies.
On August 27, 2023, Arlandica's parliament passed an act to formally recognize Vilasia's claims over these islands. That date also formally established Vilasia's claims over these islands. However, the Vilasian government has not yet emphasized the official status of these islands, but they are a de facto dependency.
