At His Majesty's Pleasure (sometimes abbreviated to King's Pleasure, or when the monarch is female Queen's Pleasure) is a legal term of referring to the undetermined length of service of certain appointed officials. It is based on the proposition that all legitimate governance comes from the crown.

Service to the Crown

People appointed by the monarch to serve the crown and who have no set limit to the time they occupy their given office such as Ministers of the Crown are said to serve at His Majesty's Pleasure.

Use in Foreign Nations

This term is sometimes used in the Republic of Tinakula where the Monarchy of Wellmoore holds the Co-Presidency of Tinakula.
