The Dawnish Empire, sometimes known as Dawn or the Empire of Dawn, is a micronation located in the United Kingdom. The nation is a federal semi-constitutional monarchy, with the monarch being granted near absolute power by the constitution.

The nation has an elected parliament, consisting of a House of Commons and Senate. The government of the empire is formed in one of these houses and the Prime Minister and other ministers are appointed by the monarch.

History

The Dawnish Empire was established in the morning of 13 February 2023. Later that day the constitution was finished and adopted.

Government and Politics

Monarchy

The monarchy of the empire is a semi-constitutional monarchy. There are some duties the monarch typically carries out that aren't officially defined in the constitution and are granted near absolute power but typically act in accordance with the constitution.

Parliament

Parliament is the supreme legislature of the empire. It consists of a House of Commons, consisting of elected MPs from the empire, and an Imperial Senate, consisting of representatives from vassal states.

All government ministers and the prime minister are all appointed from one of the houses.

Parliament also acts as a consultative body to the monarchy and can also vote to expel vassals from the empire.

Economy

The government is aiming for a highly centralised economy to support the nation as a whole as well as to support vassal states.

Culture

Sport

Each vassal state of the empire may have their own sport but the national sport of the empire is volleyball. The secretary of state for culture can oversee the hosting of national events.
