The Valosstrian Democratic People’s Republic (VDPR), formerly known as the Vanarian Republic, is a micronation that was founded on March 17, 2018, by Ernest Williams. The inspiration behind its establishment came from observing the well-established micronation called the Republic of Molossia. Originally named the Vanarian Republic, it operated as the first presidential republic for three months in 2018. However, it later evolved into the "Vanarian Democratic People’s Republic" (VDPR) following its dissolution.

On June 8, 2018, the Vanarian Communist Party was formed, marking a significant ideological shift within the VDPR. Subsequently, on January 10, 2019, the Vanarian National People’s Army was established, solidifying the nation's commitment to its military development.

A pivotal moment in the VDPR's history occurred on April 24, 2023, when the Politburo of the Central Standing Committee of the Vanarian Communist Party decided to change the nation's name to Valosstria. This change signified a new era, and the official title became the Valosstrian Democratic People’s Republic, with this new name being featured prominently on all official documents.

In further transformations, on June 26, 2023, the VDPR introduced a new coat of arms, symbolizing its evolving identity. On July 27, 2023, the nation underwent yet another change, adopting the new name of the Democratic Republic of Valosstria (DRV).

Ernest Williams, the founder and leader of the DRV, has played a pivotal role in guiding the nation's development and transformations over the years.
