Ageless Rating System (ARS) is a video game content rating system designed to help consumers make an informed choice when buying video games. It was developed by Eseptian Media Rating Organization (EMRO) in 2023 as an alternative to other modern rating systems, which EMRO considers "too ageist".
Ratings
Ageless Rating System was created in order to promote the destigmatization of intellectual and emotional inferiority of the children that is well-established in society. EMRO believes that some children may be much less sensitive than the average adult, and vice versa. Considering this, any rating of a video game, book or movie should only warn consumers about potential risks and not prevent them from consuming of product.
The table below presents EMRO ratings as an example of an ARS-based rating system. Icons and requirements of each rating may vary depending on the organization using this system.
Usage
Ageless Rating System is currently being used only by EMRO, which assigns content ratings to consumer video games
