Use common sense with this guide and read it thoroughly; your article should be based on this guide but should not be a carbon copy of it either. Source editing is greatly preferred over Visual Editor, as the latter tends to trash pages. Editing this guide in source will also help you familiarize yourself with wikitext and will allow you to see important technical functions that visual editor will omit.

  • Anything surrounded by <nowiki></nowiki> will force the software to display plain text. Remove it wherever it appears in this guide.
  • Parts of this guide intended to be filled in with your own info will be encased in single curly brackets: {example}
  • Text surrounded by <!-- and --> is a comment. These will tell the software to not include the enclosed content on the page entirely, and are present to help you as you're editing the page in source. Remove it after you have completed filling in the infobox and adding categories.

Formerly recognized

You do not need this section unless your micronation recognized a now-defunct state. Format this list like the other three above.

Administrative regions

Explain your nation's claim system, and the various types of constituencies your nation may have, for example, the difference between a district and a territory. It is preferred that you do not discuss each constituency in this section. Instead, the names of each constituency in the table should be linked to their own separate articles. You can add and remove columns as you wish, but generally, include fields for the flags (which should be kept small, at most 100px wide (less if more rows listed) and have a border), name, and important fields such as area, population, governor and/or representative (or equivalent position). You do not need to include a column for a seal, flag, or coat of arms for each constituency if it they do not have one.

Alotorus, officially the Democratic Republic of the People's Republic of Alotorus is a fictional micronation led by Alexander Egrate. It's a federal republic consisting of states, republics, internal confederacies, and dependencies, which are all highly autonomous. Its current leader, Alexander Egrate, has the role of federal president. The federal president has power over the federacy as a whole but usually abstains from any actions. Technically speaking, Alotorus can be viewed as a dictatorship, as the citizens of Alotorus do not have much to say against the orders of their federal president. However, most states have adopted a highly democratic system, and it, therefore, makes more sense to classify it as a hybrid regime.

Alotorus lays claims on parts of Norway, including the mainland, Allisakria, and Grassland, which are all enclaved completely within the nation. Alotorus also lays claims on the archipelagos of Tarvirvistan in the Atlantic Ocean near the Americas, Gamerland in the South Atlantic Ocean near Africa, and Riiscen in the Indian Ocean. Lastly, Alotorus claims Nahtreely, another piece of land located within Tennessee, in the United States of America. There's also a region named Clombertland claimed by Alotorus, whose geography is a bit complicated. These are all classified as dependencies and are highly autonomous.

The Alotorusian mainland's size has not been calculated accurately yet, but they're not a large country and definitely ranks among the 10 smallest countries. As for the population, the mainland has around 350,000 citizens.

Alotorus functions as a confederation, and states are guaranteed high autonomy. However, there is a federal government within the DRPGNA, which helps resolve crises between federal members of the country as well as the country as a whole. The highest rank in this federal government is the federal president, who we have discussed earlier. They may impose anything in the country, and deny any proposals. The second highest is named superstates. These are the states of Quiratos and Waratos, who both have high power. And since the federal president rarely interferes with the federal government, they essentially become the highest rank in the government. They can deny most proposals, but they can not force implementations within any other state. Then comes lower superstates, which have high power, but are not as high as their superiors. These are Helluratos, Mosloratos, Niratos and Xeratos. They can deny most proposals, but they all need a majority vote in-between each other for the denial to be approved. Then comes the normal states, which may have limited federal control, but still have representation within the government. Some regions of Alotorus do not have representation though. These are mainly republics, authoritarian states, and states who did not ask for representation. Dependencies also do not have representation. Internal confederacies function as a single state within the nation, and they need to decide within themselves what they will represent.

History

Even though Alotorus was really founded on the 9th of February, 2022, it is canon that Alotorus gained independence from Norway on the 29th of April, 2006. By then they began as a unitary state, controlled by the government of Waratos. Eventually, Waratos split into multiple states, turning the nation into a federacy. As states were added, eventually the state of Xeratos was formed, then consisting of the states we now call Xeratos, Epxeratos, Wuloforatos, and Siheratos. Communists later occupied the Xeratosian government, which then occupied multiple other states, until Xeratos was eventually the size of over half of Alotorus. This started an Alotorusian civil war, which Xeratos ultimately lost. Xeratos was then split into new states, and communism was abolished, with the exception of the state of Moslo, and the republics of Shelturatos and West Xeratos. Most of Alotorus is now back to normal, but the difference between post-Xeratosian states and normal Alotorusian states is still visible today.

Geography

The Alotorusian mainland is enclaved inside Viken County, located in the Kingdom of Norway. Alotorus has a fairly mountainous terrain, with the Nira ov thev Ratos (River of the Rats) running throughout much of it. Excluding the Alotorusian island dependencies, Alotorus does not have a coastline. Alotorus can often experience cold climates, with snow and wind being common in the country, as Alotorus lies near the Arctic Circle. Natural disasters very rarely occur in the nation, and when they do, they are often incredibly mild.

Administrative Divisions

States

States are the main division in Alotorus, and they help build up the federal government.

  • Allisakria, a rich exclave of Alotorus which is also classified as a republic and dependency.
  • Elaperatos, a fairly poor puppet state of Quiratos with low democracy scores, located in central Alotorus.
  • Empyratos, a rich and democratic state in northeast Alotorus.
  • Epmoslo, a fairly rich democracy in western Alotorus.
  • Epxeratos, a fairly poor state that was taken from Xeratos after the civil war.
  • Helluratos, a fairly democratic fairly rich state in northern Alotorus.

  • Mosloratos, a rich fairly democratic state in northwestern Alotorus.
  • Mylioratos, a poor puppet state of Quiratos with very low democracy scores, located in central Alotorus.
  • Niratos, a fairly rich and democratic state in eastern Alotorus.
  • Opfrian Islands, a very rich fairly democratic island state in Alotorus producing much of the Alotorusian electricity.
  • Peteratos, a decently rich and decently democratic state in southeast Alotorus.
  • Quiratos, a fairly undemocratic state in central Alotorus with mediocre wealth levels.
  • Rat City, a state and federal city acting as a religious capital for Ratuism.
  • Ratosratos, a rich and democratic state in northeast Alotorus.
  • Siheratos, a fairly poor state in southern Alotorus with mediocre democracy scores.
  • Swaloratos, a rich democratic state in western Alotorus.
  • Unobliratos, a very rich fairly democratic state in central Alotorus.
  • Uwzqueratos, a very rich democratic state in central Alotorus.
  • Waratos, a rich fairly democratic state in northwestern Alotorus.
  • Wuloforatos, a fairly poor southern Alotorusian state with mediocre democracy scores.
  • Xeratos, a fairly rich southwestern Alotorusian state with mediocre democracy scores.

Republics

Republics are highly autonomous regions of Alotorus with little to no representation in the federal government.

  • Kingdom of Allisakria, an Alotorusian exclave lead by King Alexander.
  • Republic of Alturatos, a breakaway republic from the state of Mylioratos bringing in democracy.
  • Axolotl Kingdom, or Fiskeratos, a breakaway republic claiming parts of Meluxeratos, the Opfrian Islands, and the Kingdom of Norway, attempting to bring sealife to the region.
  • Kingdom of Igoratos, a kingdom in Kryrlomantiofocolympioratos who wished to stay outside the merge of Kryrlomantioratos and Focolympioratos.
  • Kraishem Regions, a republic formed by ethnic Norwegians to gain autonomy or merge with the Kingdom of Norway, claiming parts of Wuloforatos and Siheratos
  • Former Helluratosian Republic of Lonnesscaratos, a republic given to Waratos after the civil war who did not want to join Waratos, and are now seeking secession or reunification with Helluratos.
  • People's Republic of Mosloratos, or Moslo, an isolated authoritarian remnant of the Xeratosian invasion of Mosloratos, claiming all of Mosloratos as well.
  • Jewish Alotorusian Republic, an Alotorusian republic inside Mikeyratos for the majority Jewish population.
  • Ørneratos, an island republic located off the coast of Mosloratos, disputed with the Kingdom of Norway.
  • Republic of Shelturatos, a now isolated leftover by Xeratos, similar to Moslo.
  • West Niratosian Republic of Sineratos, a breakaway region of Niratos wanting a different political system from the rest of the state.
  • þalaratos, a breakaway region of Helluratos wanting a different political system from the rest of the state.
  • Turatos, a breakaway region of Quiratos attempting to bring democracy to the region. They have very limited autonomy though, with Quiratosian forces attempting to put a stop to the secession.
  • Communist Xeratosian Republic, or West Xeratos, remnants of communist Xeratos from the civil war.
  • Principality of Ziratos, a short-lived state regaining autonomy as a republic, claiming parts of Epxeratos and Epmoslo.

Dependencies

Dependencies are territories not connected to the mainland with high autonomy.

  • Clombertland, a territory owned by a man named Clombert Schlongson, whose home is open from 7-3 during the winter holidays and is free for those who are below the age of 15, but costs $30 for those above. He is very rich from this. The territory covers his home and his farm. However, this is a complicated territory, as no matter where you are, Clombertland will always be roughly 36 minutes away from you, whether it be by walking or driving distance. This makes no sense, and the Alotorusian government still has no idea how Clombertland works. However, you can't just go to Clombertland whenever you want to. You need a special feeling that brings you there, and it does not necessarily be during the winter holidays. In fact, it is rarely during the winter holidays that Clombertland actually claims to be open. It is different for every person.
  • Gamerland, an island archipelago located off the coast of Angola, Africa. The islands have recently suffered large instability, and civil war might break out there soon.
  • Grassland, an uninhabited collection of rocks, who also claims some tiles inside Alexander Egrate's real school. Yes, this is a real territory claimed by Alotorus. They were claimed because Alex chills there when he's lonely at school :(
  • Nahtreely, a territory located inside the American state of Tennessee, which was initially an independent micronation before its previous owner struck a deal with the Alotorusian government to annex it.
  • Tarvirvistan, a Caribbean island archipelago with a tropical climate. Most islands are man-made, and have the ability to grow special kinds of fruit only on their islands, giving Alotorus a major export.

A confederation formed after they alone were too small to be states as a result of the civil war.

Human Rights

Although most states have different types of human rights, the Alotorusian federal government attempts to give its citizens freedom of speech, freedom of religion, freedom of organizations, rights for education, rights for racial and gender equality, and the rights for food and water. Authoritarian states such as Moslo, Shelturatos and West Xeratos obviously violate these rights. But in recent days, states with high power over Alotorus have also begun infringing on human rights, predominantly Quiratos.

Foreign Relations

As a fictional nation, Alotorus is not able to have real foreign relations.

However, the government accounts of West Who and Alotorus do follow each other on twitter though..... sooooo I guess that's something.

Military

Since Alotorus is such a small nation, they do not have an exceptionally large military. However, using the combined population of all the Alotrian dependencies, Alotorus managed to create a military of roughly 50,000 people. However, Alotorus is in possession of weapons of mass destruction, such as an undisclosed amount of hydrogen bombs. This made many countries view Alotorus as a potential threat, but the Alotorusian government claims that they will only be used in absolute emergencies during self-defense.

Alotorus has also invested large amounts of money into robotic and AI defense, trying to make up for their lack of human soldiers.

Demographics

As of 2023, Alotorus has a population of 352,122 people. Out of these, 48% claim to have a Scandinavian background. 21% claim to be from North America, 23% from Western Europe, and the rest have diverse backgrounds. 60% of Alotorus are atheists, 28% are ratuists, and the rest are different religions.

Health

Alotorus guarantees free healthcare to all of its citizens and invests large amounts of its funding into healthcare. Alotorus attempts to put at least one hospital in each city, making it quick to get to a hospital in case of an emergency.

Alotorus has a life expectancy of 80 years.

Education

Alotorus grants free education for all children and either free or affordable college. Unlike other countries, the main part of the educational system only lasts for 7 years, where Alotorus tries to teach children as much useful information as possible and avoid less useful stuff. The less useful stuff can then be taught to students during the last 3 years, though parents of children can pick to skip this part with permission from their parents. Lastly, college is optional, though recommended. There, they teach you more useful stuff about how to get a job, or whatever they teach in college.

Students of all ages are guaranteed two 15-minute breaks between classes and a 45-minute break during the middle of the day.
