The "Commonwealth of Cabronian States", or commonly known as Cabronia, is a self-declared sovereign polity that is not currently recognised by any UN Member states and so is considered by as a micronation by external observers. It first declared independence from the United Kingdom on 22 December 2023.

Cabronia is governed as a federal presidential republic, with the Chief Minister as the Head of State and holding executive and judicial power. All decisions made by the Chief Minister must be approved by the Federal Council, which is led by the Vice Minister.

Politics & Government

Chief Minister

The Chief Minister of Cabronia is the Head of State and also holds executive and judicial power. They can call sessions in the Federal Council, however, any decision made there must be approved by a majority of the Federal Council's members. The Chief Minister is elected every 3 months, unless there is no other suitable candidate. The incumbent Chief Minister is Mateo Chung.


Vice Minister

The Vice Minister of Cabronia is the second-in-command, holding the legislative power as the head of the Federal Council. As head of the Federal Council, the Vice Minister can also call sessions, much like the Chief Minister, and must present any new policies by the Council to the Chief Minister. The Vice Minister is selected by the newly elected Chief Minister each term. Currently the position is vacant.


Federal Council

The Federal Council holds legislative power and is led by the Vice Minister. Any decision or policy created by either members of the Federal Council or the Chief Minister must be approved by a majority of the Federal Council members. It is unicameral, having only one house.

Political parties

Currently, the only political party active in Cabronia is the Cabronia National Party, led by incumbent Chief Minister, Mateo Chung.


Law and order

The main organisation responsible for policing and maintaining law and order in Cabronia is the Cabronia Defence Militia (CDM). It also carries out any military activities as Cabronia does not have an active army.

The Cabronia Defence Militia also carries out the judiciary system with the Cabronia State Court. The Chief Minister is also the head of the judiciary system and the Generalissimo of the CDM.

As Cabronia lacks an active military, the Cabronia Defence Militia (CDM) carries out any military activities within the state.

Geography and climate

The geography and climate of Cabronia is different in each state, however, the capital state, Prospere will be used here.

Prospere is located in southern Great Britain and so has an Oceanic climate with mild, wet winters, warm, short summers and lots of wind year-round.

Culture

Cabronia's culture varies with each state, but it usually follows Western culture, celebrating holidays such as Christmas and Easter, but also Esperanto culture, with holidays like Zamenhof Day and traditions like Gufujo.
