The Council of Thurston is the unicameral national legislature (parliament) of the Republic of Thurston. Established in 2024. It meets on Discord to make choices for the Republic of Thurston.
The Council of Thurston passes all laws, approves the cabinet, and supervises the work of the government. It is also responsible for adopting the state's budgets and approving the state's accounts. As set out in the Constitution of Thurston, the Council has a lot of power over Thurston, but the people choose who is in the council, apart from the President who is in power until she resigns.
The Council consists of 15 MPs. General elections must be held every year. The president can call for elections whenever she wants, she can only call for elections 4 months after the last election.
