The Council of Verdania is the unicameral legislature of the federal government of the Kingdom of Verdania. The Parliament meets in the Verdian Capital in the Northern Forest district. Representatives are chosen during elections, the elections are only semi-democratic as the parties can simply be rejected from joining the elections by the Queen.
The first election for the Kingdom of Verdania had the Gaia Party getting 100% of the votes, making Sylvia I not only the Queen of Verdania, but also the Prime Minister of Verdania.
The Council of Verdania passes all laws, aprooved the cabinet, and supervises the work of the government. It is also responsible for adopting the state's budgets, and approving state's accounts, though all of this also has to go through the Queen, as she is the official head of state and can also reject any of this.
Council History
The Council was created by the Constitution of Verdania on the 11th of March 2024.
