Oh, Daliwood |
Oh, Daliwood is the national anthem of the Republic of Daliwood.
Background
The song was adapted from the classic Italian folk song Bella Ciao. It was inspired by the song's usage as a symbol of resistance and liberation in Italy and across the world. The instrumental is a public domain rendition of Bella Ciao performed by Pracchia-78 from the Italian Wikipedia. The lyrics were written by Di Amador, the Doge of Daliwood, and detail the passion that Daliwoodeans hold for arts and freedom.
Lyrics
Oh in Daliwood’s
Embrace we stand
With colors bright across the land, land, land
Our hearts aflame
Our voices grand
For art and freedom hand in hand
(Chorus)
Oh Daliwood
Oh Daliwood
With our brushes and dreams for the greater good
In the parks
And in the streets
Our spirit is understood
We create with passion
Strong and true
Our love is red and the sky is blue, blue, blue
In the Doge’s guidance
We renew
The love of arts that we pursue
(Chorus)
Oh Daliwood
Oh Daliwood
With our brushes and dreams for the greater good
In the parks
And in the streets
Our spirit is understood
From clay to canvas
Our stories told
In melodies and colors our hearts unfold
In the Doge’s
Embrace we’re bold
With arts and freedom we are gold
(Chorus)
Oh Daliwood
Oh Daliwood
With our brushes and dreams for the greater good
In the parks
And in the streets
Our spirit is understood
So raise your voices
Let freedom ring
In Daliwood it is time to let your dreams take wing
Oh Daliwood
To you we cling
For arts and freedom our hearts do sing
