The Orange Republic of Roestenia, more notably known as Roestenia, is a micronation in New York City United States. The founding of the Orange Republic of Roestenia was instituted as a nation for a Dutch communal hub in Manhattan. This was a short led ambition, as Diederik van der Bijl renounced the idea, deciding to coin the scheme to make it as an introduced community for people in surrounding areas. Roestenia is fundamentally perceived as a micronation which supports homage to descended Dutch immigrants in Manhattan, Roestenia is also profoundly aliased as Clog County perceivable because of the Dutch stereotype, which is taken accountably proudly by many Roestenians. Roestenia is a predominant Protestant micronation, to the highest order, however many Roestenians do repudiate religious background, and see themselves as Roestenians, more than coining religion as their identity.
History
12 July 2018 was the foundation of the Orange Republic of Roestenia. Diederik van der Bijl, coining the territorial claims, which at the time was only considered his room and backyard, were under the banner of Roestenia. He claimed his title of Sir Orange after constructing his blueprints of his flag, which began the national identity of the micronation. Roestenia went under numerous of reforms due to the practice of experimentation with Diederik van der Bijl, Freddie van der Bijl became the second ever registered citizen of Roestenia, and considered one of the founding brothers, his suggestions ran wild and full throttled into the Roestenia political system, requesting a federal government and mandatory state laws. Roestenia is infamously known for going under severe economic recessions, and continuously re-emerging as a desperate attempt for funding going into the micronation. This was considered a national problem until the passing of the Candy Act, which began as a small operation over the course of two years during Diederik van der Bijl’s serving term.
Roestenia on 20 July 2019 was subjected to an attack by an unlawful citizen in New York City where Freddie van der Bijl was resided back to Roestenia until he was fit to return to duties. Roestenia recognised this as an act of war, however, went absent for the first week. Roestenia has never intervened with a war, but considered as lethal source of power in industry and textiles. Roestenia began the Textile Act of July and ratified the Dropshipping Act of August the following week. This managed to get Roestenia out of a recession by selling sweaters and pillows locally in their garage of their residence. Freddie van der Bijl earned his title Superior of the Textile Industry on August 10, 2019.
Diederik van der Bijl considered the Puppetry Act of November which involved the annexation of rooms in the residence of his family. Diederik van der Bijl went with this and passed the ratification immediately, Roestenia officially spanned the whole interior of the house and the backyard, which was hailed as an accomplishment. Freddie van der Bijl considered the Autonomy Act of November, which evidently failed to be achieved. These events would lead to another dilemma between Freddie van der Bijl and Diederik van der Bijl, but neither of them would come to a conclusion on the steps they would take to advance Roestenia to a nation of brotherhood.
On 22 August 2020, Freddie van der Bijl was swatted by Diederik van der Bijl, profoundly named the Journal Operation by some, which involved multiple plans to sabotage the Textile Division and begin a conglomerate of textile shops in the future. Diederik van der Bijl initiated a plan to hold Freddie van der Bijl accountable, which led to the Roestenia Trial, led by Giovanni Campbell, which proven Freddie van der Bijl he couldn’t hold the title Superior of the Textile Industry, quoted by Giovanni Campbell during the trial.
Roestenia is deep in gold with history. However many is left undocumented and are blurred memories. Roestenia is well-studied and thought out when it comes to their prestigious history, and is always cherished by citizens.
Etymology
The name Orange Republic of Roestenia references the Dutch heritage and profound king - William of Orange, however the shortened name, Roestenia, comes from the regional Afrikaans version of “the Rust Belt” where many Roestenians reside during their life, until later in life, the name was coined, and was never changed despite the founding brothers moving from upstate New York.
Government and legislative branches
the Orange Republic of Roestenia has three consecutive branches. the Executive Branch, Legislative Branch and the Judiciary Branch. A meaningful trio in Roestenia which fundamentally works together to support the well-being and favor their opinions in voice.
the Executive Branch, is vividly known for homage of the president of Roestenia, the Executive Branch gives a president the privilege to voice their acts to the legislative branch, which can either be opposed or for, with the upmost power, the executive branch can dissolve congress depending on the favorable opinions by the majority. This act was changed in 10 August 2019 where the amendment forbids and prevents a dictatorial autocracy, which evidently proved its toll in a developed Roestenia.
the Legislative Branch in Roestenia is evidently and profoundly known as the powerhouse of the micronation. Many acts and amendments were passed here which changed the course of Roestenian history, perhaps notably forever. Legislative Branch has the power to impeach a federal official if the cases are severe, this can be either through unconditional vote or conditional vote.
the Judiciary Branch is fundamentally known for withholding the liberty of people in Roestenia, the main focus and ambitions of the Judiciary branch is to secure society and prevent misconduct and federal offense which harm the public. the Judiciary Branch is heavily monitored by those who are superior to it, and are held accountable for misdemeanours, and must be under scrutiny to contain a free trial to those who are citizens.
States and territorial claims
Roestenia states are labelled by their functions and people who reside inside of them. States are able to cede from the Orange Republic of Roestenia with valid reasoning, however the act must be passed and supported by majority vote in the congress. State laws are mandatory referring to the amendments and constitution, states are free to have their own constitution and laws which are separate to other states in the republic, an act of liberty and freedom for the state to have their own legal practice and state identity, while remaining under the flag.
Economy and divisions
Economics of Roestenia are heavily prevalent in the micronation’s label. This means that the economy is considered a crucial part, due to the micronation’s history of repelling recessions and multiple divisions of economic branches, the strongest being textiles.
Textiles is the Roestenian people’s proud priority, as their culture and heritage supplies textile material across their neighborhood in New York City. The people in Roestenia are considered working citizens, which means they’re on 9-5 regularly supporting their life by collecting a wage, which goes towards the funding of Roestenia. The people don’t need to feel the need to provide their share to the micronation, this isn’t the case when a federal official is involved.
Federal officials in all major branches must pay a fair share towards the funding of the micronation to keep it fundamentally close to a surplus economy, and further to repel it from a recession. Federal officials which do not comply in a 6 month period will be impeached due to misconduct and restraining from federal orders. This act was passed after the commitment towards the Textile division.
Culture and differences
Roestenian culture is significantly related to Afrikaans and Dutch, the culture fluctuates across the territories but notably it has its prevalence in the Germanic family. Many Roestenia citizens are Romance leaners, which are recognised as a sub-culture in territories of Roestenia, but not recognised in the constitution.
Roestenian culture on its own is heavily recognised by people inside, which commonly practice it, such as textiles and woodwork, both major factors of the micronation and its profitability. Garage sales are typically associated with any culture, however, Roestenians take pride of having it treasured and cherished as their national heritage, and annually have garage sales during summer, this brings home major profit to the micronation, which gives people the morality for pride of Roestenia.
National identity and symbolism
Roestenia’s national identity is a cherished one by many citizens, a deer as the national animal shows the difference of pride and elegancy that Roestenia takes pride in. A white boar on top of the shield to show aggression and militarism in desperate times, to show no surrender as a micronation.

the Roestenian flag is a forest green lined flag with orange and blue in the top left corner. symbolising the Dutch and Lowland heritage that derives and leaks into the micronation, the forest green representing the forests that flourished in Roestenia during the upstate New York era.

Military history
Roestenian military history varies on what is considered apart of their military. Infamously, the military is known for numerous operations, not consistently posing aggression but a way to improvise the look and attraction of Roestenia. Roestenia has one overall militayr branch, the infantry, which is shown under the Roestenian Military Department.
Roestenia’s Textile and Woodwork divisions are both considered manufacturers and belligerents to the military department, and both are consistently sufficiently supplying the military with fabrics and bags for melee defense.
