The Republic of Sheepland, more commonly known as Sheepland, is a digital micronation. Sheepland was founded in the United States, however, it currently holds no territory. Sheepland plans to eventually build artificial islands on seamounts to gain territory. It was started as a Democratic Socialist experiment, since a true Democratic Socialist government has not existed yet. Sheepland seeks to establish the combination of a Democratic Socialist and Eco Socialist Government, also known as Democratic Eco Socialism, or Sheepism. Part of Sheepland's purpose is to see what parameters of government can be adjusted to make Democratic Eco Socialism work nicely, and what can be avoided to make sure it will not end disastrously.
The government of Sheepland currently only consists of a president with unchecked power, though it will have a parliament when there are enough citizens. Sheepland is Socialist, Anti-Capitalist, and Anti-Fascist.
Sheepland is somewhat of a political simulation of a Democratic Eco-Socialist country. Sheepland is pacifist, and wishes to stay out of conflicts when possible. Due to its anti-imperial and anti-capitalist stance, Sheepland is pro-Palestine and condemns Israel for its genocide of the Palestinian people. Sheepland is trying to have good relations with other micronations. Sheepland does not seek the overthrow of the US government; instead it seeks to get the Green Party or DSA in power.
Etymology
The name "Sheepland" originated from the animal Sheep and the word Land, because the founder and current president of Sheepland (Koji) likes sheep. The name "Sheepland" was originally the name of a farm idea by Koji, but it was decided to use the name for a micronation instead. Sheepland is also the name of a British sheepskin slipper company, however, due to strict animal welfare laws in the Republic of Sheepland, most Sheepskin slippers are somewhat ironically banned.
The official name for Sheepland in Japanese is 社会主義羊国 (shakai shugi hitsuji-koku) or 羊国 (hitsuji-koku) in short.
History
Sheepland was founded on 11 July 2023 by Koji as a digital micronation. It does not yet have territory. On 11 August 2023, the Ministry of Disinformation and the Ministry of Internal Revenue were created. On 2 November 2023, the Anti-Consumerist department was created.
Politics and government
Sheepland's politics are relatively simple, because the only legitimate political party by law is the Sheeplandic Socialist Party/Socialist Party of Sheepland. Sheepland has a socialist government and believes that late-stage capitalism propagates greed. Sheepland currently has a president with absolute power, but has no parliament yet. Once there are enough citizens, there will be a small parliament.
President
The president has absolute power over the Sheeplandic government. A Legislature does not exist yet. The current president is Koji. The president composes meditative music which is available on iTunes/Apple Music and Spotify. Listening to this music helps the Sheeplandic economy, as the economy currently consists entirely from digital music streams/sales.
Parliament
Sheepland is yet to have a parliament, however, there will be one once there are enough citizens.
Political parties
The only political party in Sheepland is the Socialist Party of Sheepland, as by law it is the only legitimate political party of Sheepland. It is a left-wing party that is democratic eco-socialist. (A combination of Democratic Socialism and Eco-Socialism.)

Military
Sheepland currently has no military as it has no territory to protect. As it is pacifist, it does not plan to invade other countries.
Ministries and Departments
Sheepland currently only has the Ministry of Disinformation and the Ministry of Internal Revenue, but it is set to have more in the near future.
Ministry of Disinformation
The ministry of Disinformation is responsible for taking down any fake news and disinformation in the Republic of Sheepland. It was established on 11 August 2023 under the Disinformation Ministry Act to manage media disinformation
Anti-Consumerist Department
The Anti-Consumerist department is responsible for taking down advertisements for products that do not meet the safty, durability, labor, and ecological requirements in the Republic of Sheepland. It was established on 2 November 2023 under the Anti-Consumerist Act to manage advertisments.
Ministry of Internal Revenue
The ministry of Internal Revenue is responsible for taxation and government expenditure in the Republic of Sheepland. It was established on 11 August 2023 under the Internal Revenue Ministry Act to manage taxation and government expenditure. Sheepland currently collects a 5% tax on all of its physical citizens, and a 10% tax on government officials.
Citizenship
Sheepland has three types of citizenship, Digital Citizen, Hybrid Citizen and Physical Citizen. Applying for citizenship is relatively easy, and can be done through this form.
Digital Citizenship
Digital Citizens do not have any obligations, and digital citizenship is mostly symbolic. However, it may help in the future if Sheepland's immigration rules become stricter. Digital citizens are not taxed, and can not vote.
Hybrid Citizenship
A hybrid citizenship is a good type of citizenship for someone who is thinking of moving to Sheepland in the near-future. They can live mainly or completely in another country, and can be taxed by Sheepland at a lower rate. They automatically become Physical Citizens after living in Sheepland for 1 year, while being away for no more than 4 months.
Physical Citizenship
Physical citizens live in Sheepland and can vote in elections. They can be taxed at the full rate decided by the government. The only way to get Physical citizenship is to start as a Semi-Physical citizen and become a Physical Citizen by the method above, unless the president grants it directly.

Economy
Sheepland uses the Sheeplandic Pound as its currency, which is pegged at 50 Sheeplandic Pounds per gram of gold. Culture
The people of Sheepland care deeply about the environment and animal rights, and generally don't believe in religion. Sheepland uses the Holocene calendar due to the absence of belief in religion. English is the national language, and it is also the most spoken language in Sheepland. Sheeplandic English is used; which is a variant of American English that is indistinguishable when speaking but noticeable in writing. Socialism is also part of the culture of Sheepland. Most Socialist music is considered patriotic, with the exception of music from fascist countries pretending to be socialist like China or North Korea. (Perhaps I am exaggerating a little by calling them fascist, but China is a capitalist dictatorship and North Korea is Authoritarian-Socialist/National-Communist/Social-Fascist) Sheepland's ideals of Socialism are most comparable to Yugoslavia than any other macronation.
