The Democratic Republic of Egg, more commonly known as Egg, is a micronation in {The United States of America}, they have many traditions in our long history of existence, such as our national game, steal the shoe! We have many military branches, including the marines, coast guard, army, navy, and even air force! Our wonderous country has an odd government, it is a liberal democracy, in which we are libertarian left, giving their people the choice for their leaders, and social environment, but the government chooses what to do about the money. The Leader's term is supposed to last three months, but there have been many exceptions due to other leaders running the country into the ground. In the Egg laws and rights, it clearly describes what to do in case of such an occurrence. They had decided to secede from the U.S.A due to them thinking that the leaders of the U.S.A had no clue what they were doing, such as gun control laws, school laws, and many more. We have tried to extend an allyship to Molossia, but to no avail due to us being small.

Etymology

The Etymology of Egg is odd, the reason for the name being Egg is due to a miscommunication on the receiver's part, as the founder hadn't heard the other person, and it just so happened the founder said "Egg" when he didn't know what someone else had said, therefore, leading to the name.

History

The country starts in a school classroom, in that class they had built a fort, and the founder of Egg had brought lights, therefore making their fort perfect. When the fort was taken down three days later, the leader had decided to move it outside and make it a superpower, so he did that with two of his buddies, they then started a war with a rival, but then the rival lost and joined Egg. They then continued to fight off enemies before graduating from that school, and therefore making it inactive, until one day, he had decided to try again, and claimed land elsewhere, making it bigger, better, and more active than before.

Politics and government

Egg has a similar system to the United States, but with far different ideologies, such as taking a page out of democracies book, and making it an election for leaders. But a key difference is the more communistic ideologies, such as money not being a personal asset, due to their founder thinking greed is evil and how the earth needs to focus on more important things such as family.

Early government

Egg's early government is quite simple, as it had included the same ideologies mentioned above, except for the fact that it was centrist, this later changed due to centrism and democracy not working well together, as without debates, nothing would get done.

Executive branch

Egg's executive branch decides on war, unlike the U.S.A. They also are allowed to change and ratify laws, being more in power than the legislative branch, and if the legislative branch has an issue with a law that is being passed, or vetoed, the legislative branch can take it to the public during a meeting. The executive branch decides on the punishment for the convict, whereas the legislative branch holds the power to see if they are guilty or not.

Legislative branch

The legislative branch can take decisions that they don't like about the current constitution, or laws being passed by the executive branch and take it to the public, and with a 60/40 Win Loss vote, the change is made, as mentioned previously they also decide if a prisoner is guilty or not guilty, under no circumstances should the executive branch interfere on this.

Military

Egg's national military has a long history dating back to the very beginning, during that time period, they had no weapons, but snow and woodchips, but boy did it work, it helped them win two of their wars, the "Slavo-Eggi" war, more commonly referred to as: "The Coldest War" In which another country had formed just to fight, essentially a terroristic group, in the Slavic Union they recruited many people, but Egg being outnumbered, the military had to think fast, and think fast they did, their efforts ended the war in a landslide with only minor injuries from Egg's side. Another example is with "The Bad Eggs" war, in which Egg had fought most certainly terroristic group, at the height of their power too, and somehow, they were losing the war, the military scrambled, until they found a way, give them a slip of paper that said they lost, but in fine print it said it's a lie. They thought it wouldn't work, but in the end, like always, Egg prevailed. In modern day Egg, their soldiers are to be equipped with 430+ FPS airsoft rifles, and bottle rockets, for maximum chances of winning a war. What's more is the military accounts for ~30-40% of the population!

Geography and climate

The geography of Egg is quite direct, in the winter, it snows heavy, in the summer it is blazing hot, with unpredictable weather, being here will definitely disorient you.

National Bird

Egg's national bird oddly isn't the chicken, instead it is the black capped chickadee, due to it being abundant, and almost instantly recognizable.

Economy

Our currency, the Chicken Tender, was created on 3/20/2024, the name was created by Kiera, and accepted as it was a double entendre, the currency roughly equates to 5 USD.

Culture

The culture of Egg is a rich and fruitful one, as easter is sacred, even though it is anyway, it celebrates eggs! Which is good for tourism. Egg also has things that may culture shock you, for example, it is traditional to play steal the shoe, the name explains itself, and when a criminal is convicted of treason, they are to get ice, or snow, and woodchips in their clothes until it can't fit any more, another weird thing about egg is if you hit a young child at 2:38 PM on a Tuesday, you are to be publicly humiliated 3 hours, 14 minutes, 15 seconds, 92 milliseconds later. Odd, right? Egg is a interesting, serious place, but they are very welcoming.
