The Democratic Republic of Rivusia, more commonly known as Rivusia, is a micronation located in North Yorkshire, United Kingdom. It was founded on the 20th of December by President Jamie. Rivusia's territorial claims are the President's house, located in the Yorkshire Dales, and the island of Isca, a previously unnamed island located on the river Esk, North Yorkshire - which was discovered by the president himself in an attempt to further increase the territorial size of Rivusia.

Rivusia is a democracy and a republic. The current president is His Excellency Jamie Foremaster, who is the leader of the Social Justice Party, and started his presidency on the day of founding.

Currently Rivusia has no foreign policy due to its recent founding.

Etymology

Rivusia comes from the Latin term for stream - "rīvus". Its native name "Rīvifīnālis" roughly translates to "Bounded by a brook".

History

The Democratic Republic of Rivusia was founded on the 20th of December 2022. On this date the constitution was written, and its land and territories established. These territories include the President's house, and an unnamed island that the president discovered and then claimed as a part of Rivusia's territory, and named it the island of Isca.

Politics and government

The Democratic Republic of Rivusia is a republic and a representative democracy. Every 4 years a general election is held to elect the president, the Vice president and the government. There are four main political parties in Revusia; The Democratic Freedom Party (Right Wing), Unified Prosperity Party (centre) The Social Justice Party Left Wing and the Communist Party (Far-Left)

Law and order

Due to its extremely small population, crime is practically unheard of. Rivusia's police force is Bilbo, the President's dog. Unwanted visitors are non-existant, but the police force will bark at at any visitors of Rivusia, but the police force usually steps down once no threat is established.

Foreign relations

Due to Rivusia's recent founding, it has established no foreign relations as of yet.

Military

Rivusia is a peaceful nation, and has no military. Rivusia avoids any conflict or war since the declaration of 'neutral' status by the president.

Geography and climate

Since it is located in the United Kingdom, cloud and rain are the most frequent weather phenomena. It experiences mild temperatures in Spring and Autumn, and often cold or freezing temperatures in Winder. Often during Summer, temperature can reach around 25 degrees celsius.

Economy

Rivusia's economy is almost non-existant due to it's small size. It imports food, drink and other goods in from the United goods, but exports remian small. Letters and postcards are often sent from Rivusia to friends of the president. There is a small log industry located in Rivusia.

Culture and media

Revusia has no established media as of yet, therefore it relies on media - such as TV, news and education - from the United Kingdom. It's two official languages are Latin and English, and it's two national languages are Old English and Middle English.
