The Two Days War or the Schpecktenian Civil War was between the Second Republic of Schpecktenia and the Schpecktenian People's Front. It lasted two days, seven hours, and ten minutes. Before the war started, Luca Tallerico, a Lead Province Director and Head of the Department of Exploration, thought that Schpecktenia's ban on communist objects and relations with communist nations was extremely unfair. Tallerico declared independence, and the Second Republic declared war. The two nations took each other's territory, and made attacks online. The Second Republic had help from Roekistan and Liveno, while the People's Front had support from Turisa. The war came to a close when the People's Front surrendered and dissolved, the two leaders signed the Treaty of Glen Carbon.
Background
Schpecktenia had been in two wars before the Two Days War, so the president was worn out. Tallerico thought that the ban on communism was unfair, so he made the Schpecktenian People's Front and declared independence. The People's Front was seen as hostile, so the Second Republic declared war.
The Second Republic's allies, Roekistan and Liveno, had a long history of hating communism. Roekistan and Liveno didn't have the best relations, but they were eager to help the Second Republic get rid of communism.
When Schpecktenia became an ally in January, their first ally was Turisa. Turisa was a communist nation, and they quickly came to support the People's Front. Schpecktenia has since stopped being allies with Turisa.
The People's Front claimed almost 1/3 of all Schpecktenian land, including the president of Schpecktenia's backyard.
Timeline
Backyard Invasion
11 hours into the war, Rudolph I quickly dispatched the 1st Imperial Rifle Unit to retake Rudolph I's backyard. They met no resistance and took it in eleven minutes.
This invasion saw the first use of temporary battle flags.
Early-War
The People's Front saw the opportunity of taking a golf course just outside of Meadowen. Tallerico went there himself and took the park, he met no resistance.
In retaliation, Rudolph I sent the 1st Imperial Rifle Unit to take a small park and woods very close to the People's Front capital, Matterhorn. The Schon Liberation deeply upset Tallerico, especially since the Second Republic had new land close to home, he declared "total and unrestricted war."
Intermicronational Support
The Kingdom of Turisa saw that there was a communist uprising in Schpecktenia. The Second Republic warned Turisa that if they were to support the People's Front, they would declare war. Turisa quickly started supporting the People's Front anyway, preparing to give them economic aid. Rudolph I declared war on Turisa at 7:58.
Liveno already had plans to support the Second Republic, and after war was declared on Turisa, Liveno declared war on both Turisa and the People's Front. The Conservative Creek Republic heard about the ongoing war, and announced support for the Second Republic. the CCR announced that everyone in the Organization of Great States should support the Second Republic.
Late-War
Turisa sent the Second Republic a request to battle fairly online in a video game. Whoever got the most kills won, if Turisa won, they would continue supporting the People's Front. If the Second Republic won, Turisa would pull out of the war, leaving the People's Front defenseless. After a fair and short battle, the Second Republic won with 8 kills, and Turisa pulled out of the war.
The People's Republic was without support, and even the soldiers didn't like the communist uprising. One of the soldiers in Tallerico's Totenkopf Battalion anonymously sent Rudolph I a link to a brand new discord server for the People's Front. Rudolph I and Liveno joined and relentlessly raided the server. Tallerico had enough and surrendered. Rudolph I told him that if he did not dissolve the nation, he would face consequences.
Surrender,Dissolution, and Treaty of Glen Carbon
Tallerico had enough and surrendered. Rudolph I told him that if he did not dissolve the nation, he would face consequences. Before the discord server was deleted, Tallerico and Rudolph I held a meeting to discuss the making of a treaty.
They decided to name it the Treaty of Glen Carbon, because Glen Carbon was where most of the fighting happened. Tallerico requested that Schpecktenia will lift the ban on owning communist and socialist logos and the making of relations with communist and socialist nations to prevent another uprising. Rudolph I fined Tallerico 5 Marks, and he was given back his government titles.
