Etymology
The Etymology of Sovia's name is completely unknown.
History
Foundational Period (9 March 2022-March 10th 2022)
A day after Xenlandia's dissolution, Laura Xeon founded the Duchy of Sovia which she plans for Sovia to be a bigger and more professional micronation. It is an elective monarchy, and it is no longer in her bedroom and instead it claims what used to be East France, a former Xenlandian territory as its main territory. After that, Sovia became active for De Jure 19 days and De Facto for 24 days.
Post Inactivity Period (March 28th 2022-Present)
On March 28, 2022 Alejandra I of Sovia announced that she is going to declare Sovia active again after a de jure 19 day long period of inactivity. However it lasted 24 days de facto to April 2, 2022. After that, she also announced that she is making a territory map and highway map for Sovia. On the same day however, Princess Neave Houghton resigned as princess and prime minister as part of her quitting micronationalism. She was replaced by Dasy of the Anrazian Empire. Alejandra I also secretly made prime minister roles in Sovia's discord server.
