The Federal Peoples Republics of Belfast, shortened to FPROB, was a union of 7 Communist Republics in one nation. The majority of the nations land was located in the Colin area, with other exclaves in other areas of Belfast. It was rendered defunct on the 29 June 2023 following the "Wheelie Bin Coup d'etat" in Beechmount and opposition across the nation, which started in Poleglass.

History

Collapse of the FPROB

On the 22 June 2023, the House of Poleglass began opposition against its inclusion within the FPROB. This is notable because leaving the union is illegal due to treason laws. The opposition continued until the 29 June. At 1:36pm a coup d'etat, dubbed the "Wheelie Bin Coup" began in Beechmount. This lead to a spiral of events in the FPROB. Opposition began in the Colin, Dunmurry and Malone. The House of Beechmount was the first to leave the union, when at 2:16pm the the "Wheelie Bin Coup" was successful and the Democratic Socialist Republic of Beechmount was redeclared, with the Beechmount Government in Exile regaining control. Just two minutes later at 2:18pm, the House of the Falls was next to go when the FPROB abandoned the region and rendered it independent. At 2:20pm Poleglass and the FPROB began talks. The FPROB officially dissolved at 2:28pm on the 29 June 2023 when the "FPROB Dismemberment Agreement June 23" was signed. The FPROB still has some presence in New Lodge, as it was the only House that did not show opposition and the FPROB installed government was not removed following the agreement. New Lodge remains officially the "Federal People's Republics of Belfast" and it's unclear whether that is likely to change. All former member states in the Colin and Malone regions joined the "Pre-Independence Zone" (PIZ) which will help properly map out plans for independence. The PIZ was established by the "Poleglass Independence Committee" (a successor organization to the Poleglassian Democratic Governorment in Exile) to stop a free for all for territory happening.

House of East Colin West Finaghy Black's Road 6 Originally part of House of Colin. Created due to a protestant majority population in the area
House of New Lodge New Lodge None (City state) 7
House of the Falls Falls Park Peoples Republic 8 The house is itself made up of one sub-republic. Locan Street was formerly a member but was dissolved into the House of Beechmount as part of the reunification process.

Proposed Expansion

The Falls

The Clonard Peoples Republic has almost joined the Union in the past, but as of now is independent.

The Colin

With the FRPOB having a huge presence in the Colin, it has been suggested that Ladybrook and the independent section of Lenadoon could possibly join the Union as they remain the last two independent nations in the region. Lenadoon remains the only Colinese nation to never have joined a union with the rest of the Colin

East Belfast

Calls for West and independent East Finaghy to unite into one in the FPROB have been made, however the government is weary due to it not having a majority Colinese population.
