The Federalist Party, sometimes the Federalist Party of Aumarea, is a conservative political party in the United Federation of Aumarea and is the nation's first and oldest party. It is a major party and is the primary right-wing party within the nation.

The party was founded on 6 March 2023 by Luke Knight.

History

The party was founded on 6 March 2023 by Luke Knight and registered by him in his role at the time as Continental President. The party takes its name from Alexander Hamilton's party and is the oldest Aumarean political party.

The party has played a key role in Aumarean history - providing the fist Continental President who later went on to become the first President of Aumarea after the ratification of the Constitution of Aumarea.

Policies

The party favours centralisation of government, federalism, modernisation of industry, industrialisation, and economic protectionism. The party calls for a strong national federal government that promotes economic growth as well as social conservatism. The federalist party also aims to preserve and defend the union of the federation - calling this Aumarean Unionism, this is reflected in the party's motto "For the Union!".

Leadership

The party is managed by the Executive Council, which is the federal management board of the party. The executive head of the party is the Party Leader - currently Luke Knight. The Party Leader is responsible for the overall management and overseeing of the party, enforcing party rules, outlining party policies and guiding the executive council. The party leader is aided by the Party Chairman - whose primary functions are overseeing the executive council on behalf of the Party Leader. The party chair may request the party leader appoints up to two deputy chairs to aid the chairman in their duties.

The party also has an official spokesman who is appointed by the party leader with confirmation from, and typically based on nominations from, the Executive Council.

The party leader is elected by the wider party by direct election.

The party can have decentralised committees to serve and manage the party in each state.
