The First Brestand War is a war between the Kingdom of Brestand and two members of the OMFU, namely the Republic of Fiera and the Principality of Neustria. The war began with an attack on Brestand on September 26, 2022, by a spy from Jailavera and Brestand, against Fiera and Neustria, violating the Treaty of Labour.

History

Context

Prior to the Brestand War, relations between Neustria and Fiera, led by Wilfrid Orochi and Rocco Venti respectively, were excellent. Their relations are described as the best in the micronational world. Relations between Fiera and Brestand are rather average as Rocco Venti, the president, is the former Prime Minister of Brestand. However, relations between Brestand and Neustria are picturesque: at the time of Wilfrid Orochi's election, the leader of Brestand Thermidor considered him illegitimate because of his bisexuality.

Relations between the two micronations had already almost turned to war, but on 17 September 2022, although not signed by Wilfrid Orochi, the Labour agreements were concluded between Fiera and Brestand, in order to guarantee that there would be no attack between the three micronations.

Attack of Fiera and Neustria

On September 26, 2022, a member of Fiera's secret forces, who was also the Minister of the Interior of the Principality of Neustria, attacked Neustria and Fiera, being in reality the spy of Jailavera and Brestand. Attacking in the name of Brestand, this was considered a declaration of war by Neustria and Fiera. In Neustria, the damage was minimal, due to the security present in the micronation. But in Fiera, due to the permissions he was given, he was able to cause enormous damage to the Republic, which still took 12 hours to restore, thanks to the union of all parties in Fiera for the reconstruction.

Counter-attack by OMFU

The OMFU, an inter-micronational organisation, then led by Wilfrid Orochi, decides to counter-attack, by having Brestand's accounts massively flagged, in order to immobilise the micronation, which will otherwise work. The Kingdom of Brestand gives up.

Peace

On October 4, 2022, a plan for the division of Brestanian territory was adopted, being annexed more than 75% by the Principality of Neustria and less than 25% by OMFU. The Republic of Fiera will have no territory, due to the advent of a communist government at its head, after the departure of President Rocco Venti. This peace treaty would later result in the collapse of the Thermidor regime and contribute to the beginning of a very bad relationship between Neustria and Fiera.
