Possible Expanision

The league has expressed an interest before the start of the 2017 season. The league wants to grow outside its borders whilst develop domestically. Any club wanting to join should contact Stewart Florian on Skype. On the day of forming it was announced that two teams from Serbica will be entering the league. The league one day hopes that Serbica, however, will make a domestic league and that teams for the UPO will join the league. Teams from the UPO will enter the 2018 season.

Structure

Regular season

The Micronational Rugby Superleague season runs from early May to early June. Teams are split into two conferences and play 14 rounds of matches, with each club playing each other home and away. Bonus Points were to be awarded but the league has decided not to implement them. The results of the matches contribute points to the league as follows:

  • 4 points are awarded for a win
  • 2 points are awarded for a draw
  • 0 points are awarded for a loss

Playoffs

Following the completion of the regular season, the top 4 teams from each conference enter the playoffs, which is held throughout late June. The Eight teams are randomly drawn for the Quarterfinals and only play and only play once as there is no second leg. The bottom four of each conference compete for the league shield. The winner progresses to the semi-finals and then the grand final which is held at a different micronation each year.

Promotion and Relegation

There is currently no relegation in the league however teams can promote to the division by applying. The bids for the entering the league are voted two weeks before the new season.

Media Coverage

All results and news will be posted on the league's website.

Challenge Cup

Teams in the league compete for the Micronational Rugby Challenge Cup. All 16 teams from both conferences are drawn randomly. The winner qualifies for the next round. The Final is held in a different stadium each year.
