The Grand Duchy of Liangsi, more commonly known as Leónsle or Liangsi, is a micronation in Massachusetts, United States. It was first founded when Grand Duke Leo Akien, decided to claim the area around the City of Boston as a sovereign nation on 30 October 2019. It consists of the provinces of New Edensburg, Rye, and New Brewsting, with the capital of Aden, and major cities being Fort Warren, Fort Andrew, and Milon. Its government consists of two houses in its parliament, the House of Lords and the House of Commons.

Grand Duke

The Grand Duke of Liangsi is a position that is not appointed but hereditary passed down the Akien royal family with the current Duke being Grand Duke, Leo Akien, Lord Protector of Liangsi.

The Federal Assembly of Liangsi

The Federal Assembly of Liangsi is the legislative body of the Grand Duchy of Liangsi, composed of two branches, being the House of Commons and the House of Lords. The House of Lords is directly appointed by the Grand Duke but can be revoked at any point in time by the Grand Duke. The House of Lords consists of currently 1 seat and contains no special powers, besides being directly appointed by the Grand Duke. The House of Commons consists of currently 1 seat and has a term of 1 month each, with the general populous able to run and elect members for these seats. The duty of the Federal Assembly of Liangsi is to create laws. If at least 2/3's of the Federal Assembly vote to pass a bill, the bill is passed onto the Grand Duke for verification. If the Grand Duke passes the bill, the bill becomes a law. If the Grand Duke rejects the bill, the Federal Assembly can propose to the Royal Court to pass the bill. The Royal Court must all agree unanimously to pass the bill in order for it to become a law.

Royal Court of Liangsi

The Royal Court of Liangsi consists of 3 to 5 seats (depending on population), and currently contains 3 seats. 2 of the seats are appointed directly by Grand Duke while 1 is voted in by the general populous. The Royal Court of Liangsi along with its branches enforces the law, along with appealing or modifying laws said to be unjust. They are also able to pass laws rejected by the Grand Duke if the Federal Assembly appeals to them after a vote.
