Metropolitan Municipality of Grendaria

The city of Grendaria is the largest city in the Federal Republic of Grebna and Vonerebna, With official boundaries of about 0.8km², making it about 2 times larger than the capital Vityok. As the largest city however, only 1 person permanently. That being the infamous mayor Uncle Kalistrad, who does almost all the agriculture and farming for the city. The first houses of the city were founded back in 1989, just when Bulgaria left the communist rule. However actual inhabitance by Grebnars was first registered in March 2021, about a month before the Grebnar revolution. And 6 months before getting it's current name. It is located in the Villa zone of near the Bulgarian seaside resort Tsarevo. It is also located on the top of Tsarevo hill, which is the barrier between the states of Grebna and Nestinaria, who recently (September 2023) both suffered a series of floods.

History

After being taken over by Grebnar revolutionists on the 28th of April 2021, it became a base for the soldeirs, before the then Arch duke Boil Stefanov announced the formation of the Grand duchy of Grebna and Vonerebna, hence Grendaria is also one of the two founding cities of the Republic, however it didn't receive it's name until August 2023, when the mayor officially changed the name from Grebna to Grendaria. In September 2023, massive floods hit the Black Sea coast, of which Grendaria suffered small damage. As of November 2023 Grendaria has fully recovered from the floods and continue to expand and make new turf.

Culture and Sports

Grendaria's most famous sports team are the Grendaria Caravans Ice hockey team, who reached 1/4 finals this year, being knocked out by Blue Star (Vityok) who would go on to win the Grebnar cup. Grendaria also holds the largest football stadium in the country, that being Seaman arena, home to the Seaman Grendaria football team, who are owned by the Grendaria Caravans. Back to culture, Grendaria is symbolic with its views of Stranja mountain. Not too far away from mount Papia, Grendarians often can hike in the mountain without having to use a car. Simply leave the gates and they are in the mountain. A favourite pastime of Grendarians is simply lying back and watching either the Black Sea, or mount Papia or Papus in Grendarian slang.

Refugee issue

Each year an unknown amount of refugees break through the Bulgarian-Turkish border, and make their way through the Stranja mountain and Bulgaria to try and reach Western Europe. Due to the current financial and political situation, Grendaria does not have the funds or time to make a stable wall to hold off any attempting to break into the city. Which is why Grendaria works with Bulgarian border police to help keep the refugees out of Grendaria, as the council of the State of Grebna has stated that "Refugees without a proper excuse, or Identification Document shall not be allowed into the state of Grebna and all municipalities in it, the same shall apply to neighbouring state Nestinaria."
